Stoke City are in talks to sign free agent Jean-Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, according to the Daily Mail.
The Cameroon international left Schalke in the summer after scoring three goals last season.
Manager Mark Hughes wants versatility in his front line after selling Marko Arnautovic and Jon Walters. And the 28-year-old Choupo-Moting can provide it.
The 42-time capped Cameroonian international is available on a free transfer following the expiration of his deal with Schalke.
Hughes remains keen to add Bruno Martins Indi from Porto and wants another full-back too.
