Leicester City have rejected a bid of £25m from Bournemouth for winger Demarai Gray
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is now weighing up a deadline day attempt to prise the 21-year-old away from the King Power Stadium but it would take a significantly increased offer. Howe saw an initial bid of £20m dismissed earlier in the window.
Leicester’s Thai owners are adamant that given his age and promise, combined with a contract that has three years to run, Gray is worth a considerable amount in the current market.
Demarai Gray wants more first-team football having started only 10 Premier League matches since joining from Birmingham in a £3.5m move in January 2016, but Leicester are ready to offer an improved deal as a sign of commitment.
