Las Palmas are on the verge of signing French striker Loic Remy on a two-year contract, according to La Provincia newspaper.

The 30-year-old had one year left on his deal with Chelsea but will arrive in La Liga outfit as a free agent, having agreed with the Premier League champions to terminate his contract.

Remy has struggled to hold down a place in Chelsea’s first team since moving to the club in a £10.5m move from Queens Park Rangers and has fallen down the pecking order under the management of Antonio Conte.

The 30-year-old France international spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace but only figured in eight games.
