Stoke City winger Marco Arnautovic has this afternoon handed in a transfer request.
The Austrian international, has grown increasingly frustrated with what he sees as a lack of ambition at the bet365 Stadium, and wants to be able to move on this summer.
In recent weeks, he’s been linked with £15m moves to AC Milan, PSG and West Ham. Last summer Everton were one of a number of clubs interested in the 28-year old who joined Stoke from Werder Bremen four years ago, for the bargain fee of £2m.
Stoke boss Mark Hughes has done everything to keep hold of Arnautovic, who signed a lucrative new four-year-deal last summer, keeping him at Stoke until 2020.
The winger is with the Stoke squad on pre-season tour in Switzerland. One source has told us that they believe Arnautovic has had his head turned and his heart is no longer in the Potteries.
