During the very intense yet engaging conversation, the model said: “I grew up in a very big family; being the last of 12 siblings I had a lot of role models around me who pushed me to becoming the independent lady I am today.” Speaking about how she got into modelling, she said “My modelling career kicked off when I was rounding up my masters in New York,”
About moving back home to Nigeria and all the challenges that came with it, she stated that it was a tough decision but she had to make it because she wanted to follow her dreams. “Having good support system also helped my transition back to Nigeria,” she added. She also mentioned that she is on a mission to take over the media space in Africa and she plans to marry philanthropy with TV and travel. Advising upcoming models Idia further emphasised that hard work is key in a career path and that one’s results will always speak for one.
