Mason Mount has signed a new long-term Chelsea contract and will spend next season on loan at Vitesse.
Mount starred for England as they won the U19 European Championship this summer.
Mason Mount signed professional terms on his 17th birthday last year before agreeing to improved terms in April. Mount has now recommitted once more though no extension has been added.
The Academy Player of the Year guided the young Blues side to FA Youth Cup success last season, before impressing on the international scene as England U19s won the European Championships this summer.
“Vitesse feels like me the next step in my career,” Mount told the Dutch club’s website.
“Vitesse gave me a good feeling when discussing [the move]. I also talked to other players like Lewis Baker and Mukhtar Ali, who were all positive about the club.”
Charlie Colkett and Fankaty Dabo, who Mount knows from Chelsea’s youth setup, have already made the journey to Vitesse for the upcoming campaign.
