Peter Bosz has tagged talk of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang joining a club in China as nonsense.
Reports have claimed Aubameyang is set to join Tianjin Quanjian for a fee of €70 million in the new year.
However, Dortmund has dismissed the reports and manager Bosz has moved quickly to deny them.
“The advantage is that I’m not reading all the newspapers,” Bosz said after Dortmund’s 2-2 friendly draw with Bochum on Saturday.
“I’ve talked to [sporting director] Michael Zorc and he said that nothing is true. That’s nonsense.”
Aubameyang finished as the Bundesliga’s top scorer last season with 31 goals, one more than Bayern Munich striker and former Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski.
