Barely a month after the internet was awash with rumors that Beyoncé had given birth to twins, she finally made it official as she shared the first photo of her twins, Rumi and Sir.

The singer posted the picture on her Instagram account in the early hours of Friday, July 14, 2017.

In the post, the 35-year-old singer can be seen standing in a Palomo Spain outfit while proudly holding her babies – a posture similar to her viral pregnancy announcement in February, where she stood in front of a flowery backdrop in the photo.

“Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today,” the caption read.

As at the time of filing this report, the post has received more than 8.1 million likes on Instagram.

The Instagram post also served as the official confirmation of the babies names. In June, Beyoncé and Jay-Z reportedly filed trademark documents to secure rights to the names “Rumi Carter” and “Sir Carter.”

About a fortnight ago, Jay-Z had, in his new 10-track album, 4:44, addressed rumours of infidelity that circulated his marriage to Beyoncé, last year – when she released her visual album, Lemonade.

The new album, which features Frank Ocean and Damian Marley, also sees him address Kanye West’s turbulent temperament at the end of 2016.

Few days later, 360nobs reported that Kanye West left Jay Z‘s Tidal streaming service due to a dispute over money.

It should also be noted that the superstar singer and her mogul husband – married in 2008 – are also parents to a five-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.
