Real Madrid president Florentino Perez met the family of Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe earlier this month, reports Telefoot.
The European champions are one of the frontrunners to sign Mbappe this summer and speculation suggests the teenager would be open to a move to the Bernabeu.
The France international has no shortage of suitors, with Liverpool,Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain also believed to be in the hunt to secure his signature.
According to Telefoot though, Madrid president Perez travelled to France earlier this month to convince the player’s camp that a move to the Spanish capital club would provide the youngster with his best option for the future.
Mbappe has reportedly been offered a 875 per cent wage increase to remain with Monaco as the French champions are keen to hang onto the striker for at least another season.
