Any clubs interested in Jacob Murphy will need to pay £12m to sign the Norwich winger, reports the Newcastle Chronicle.
The England U21 international is currently with Aidy Boothroyd’s squad in Poland as they prepare for their semi-final against Germany on Tuesday.
Newcastle, West Brom, Southampton, Swansea and Crystal Palace have been linked.
Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has sent scout Steve Nickson to Poland for the Euro under-21 Championships and is interested in Murphy, along with Leicester’s Tom Lawrence – who excelled at Ipswich on loan last season – and Demarai Gray.
Newcastle believe they can get Murphy – who has four years left on his deal at Carrow Road after signing a new contract in January – for £8m although the Chronicle claim City want £12m. Gray would cost £18m.
