Paris Saint-Germain have been offered £62million from Manchester United for the services of Brazilian centre-half Marquinhos, according to Globo Esporte.
The Brazilian paper reports that United have targeted the defender, despite previously completing a deal for Victor Lindelof this summer.
Marquinhos had a good season for the Ligue 1 giants making 44 appearances in all competitions.
But, should United want to land him, they would have to beat off competition from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus who are all said to be interested.
However, the report also claims that he is unlikely to make the move away from PSG this summer.
Marquinhos has a contract with the Ligue 1 side until June 2019.
The 23-year-old has been at PSG for four seasons after a move from Roma in 2013, clocking up 155 appearances in all competitions since.
However, Marquinhos recently claimed he was not looking to move on ahead of the 2018 World Cup, saying: “I am happy in Paris. The ambition of the club is ambitious.
“PSG do not want to sell me and, alongside Marco Verratti, I am part of the basis of the club’s project.
“Aside from that, it will depend on the negotiations (for a contract extension) because it is never simple, but I think that I will stay.”
