share on:

It’s not often that you come across a TV series that gets you sucked in from the very begining, which is exactly what Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who co-created the hit Superman series Smalville, have beenable to accomplish with Into The Badlands which is set in a post-apocalyptic world.

AMC, the home of the hit TV series The Walking Dead, is the studio behind Into the Badlands which is set In a land controlled by feudal barons, Into the Badlands tells the story of a great warrior and a young boy who embark on a journey across a dangerous land to find enlightenment.

The first episode introduces us to the characters of Sunny and M.K played by Daniel Wu and Aramis Knight respectively who are thrown together byt circumstance and end up forging a relationship that would take on some adventure and provide some magnificent martial arts moves along the way making sure that there’s hardly a dull moment with this one.

The first season of the show, which first aired in 2015, has got just 6 episodes and it features a cast of talented actors such as Marlon Csokas, Edi Gathegi and Sten Lang delivering some impressive martial arts moves that would bring to mind some things you’ve seen the likes of Donnie Yen and Michelle Yeoh do in previous movies. 6 episodes isn’t a lot so for those planning to binge watch this one, get ready to want to rush into the second season which has 10 episodes and recently wrapped 21st of May 2017.

If it’s action, drama, adventure or simply a show with lots of fight scenes you are looking for, Into The Badlands pretty much has you got all that making it one show to put on your radar if you like TV shows with such genres. The only concncern is that with just 2 seasons released so far since it started airing in 2015 and a 16episode 3rd season in the works, would this show be allowed to run its course and go out with a bang or will it get cut down in it’s prime by the studio… It’s still too early to decide, but in the meantime enjoy watching this one if you decide to check it out – which you should
