Anthony Joshua recently branded Tyson Fury as boring and the former heavyweight champion has hit back with a scathing response on social media.
Joshua dismissed Fury’s criticism of his win over Klitschko, by sayung his fellow Brit, failed to entertain the media in his win over the Ukrainian.
And the suspended British boxer hit back on Instagram, pointing to the fact that Joshua had to suffer a knockdown before winning at Wembley.
“Better to win and be boring than getting dropped all over the floor and scraping a win,” said Fury. “I never got punched, you got carried off the canvas nearly.
“But winning is winning whether you win by an inch or a mile. It’s still winning and I still won.
“Let’s get it on then. I don’t need no warm-up fights.”
He later made a reference to Floyd Mayweather while discussing Joshua’s comments in a further video on social media.
“Now AJ says I’m a boring fighter, but then looks up to Floyd Mayweather,” said Fury. “Floyd has been a master of hitting and not being hit back, and if you look at his last 10 fights he has maybe had one knockout.
“It’s not about the power, how hard you can punch, how good you can take one.
“It’s about the defence and hitting them and not taking the return. Almost like a fighter jet flying in the sky, he hits and then manoeuvres fast, so he doesn’t get any returns, and that’s what boxing is about.”
