Bournemouth defender Steve Cook has been linked with a move to Watford, according to the Daily Mail.
He has been a regular in the Cherries team this season as they look to secure another Premier League campaign and has caught the eye of Hornets boss Walter Mazzarri.
Cook, 25, has started 34 times in the Premier League for Eddie Howe this season so is unlikely to be let go by the Cherries this summer.
If Cook did decide the time was right to leave the south coast – he’s still got two-years left on the contract he signed last May – he would certainly cost more than the £150,000 Bournemouth paid Brighton for him in 2012.
Watford are looking to strengthen their central defensive options again over the summer though, and The Daily Mail believe Cook is someone they are looking at.
Christian Kabasele, Adrian Mariappa and Younes Kaboul all moved to Vicarage Road in last summer’s transfer window, with Sebastian Prodl, Craig Cathcart and Miguel Britos already at the club, but they still want more strength in depth in that department.
