Sevilla could launch a summer move for reported Barcelona target Mauricio Lemos, according to Radio Sevilla.
The Europa League champions are said to be admirers of the centre-back, who has been a key player for La Liga club Las Palmas this season.
The centre-back has a €30m (£25.5m) release clause, but Sevilla are unlikely to pay that amount and will instead look to negotiate a lower fee.
Lemos has scored three free-kicks in La Liga this season, more than any other player in Spain’s top flight.
Lemos joined the Canary Islands side last summer from Russian club Rubin Kazan and has made an instant impression in La Liga.
His assured performances have helped Las Palmas to mid-table safety in the Spanish top tier, with the club 12th after 29 matches.
They are on 35 points, 13 above the relegation places.
