Burnley centre-back Michael Keane says he’s fully focused on his current club despite speculation linking him with a move to Everton.
“It’s inevitable really, these things happen, but I’ve dealt with it all throughout the season and I won’t let it affect me,” said the centre-half. “I’m fully focused on Burnley.
“We’ve got some big games coming up and we need to make sure we stay in the Premier League, so it won’t affect me at all.
“The first thing in our heads is survival, but we think we’ve got enough to do more than that. We just need a win soon to see where that takes us.”
Keane, 24, came up through the ranks at Manchester United before leaving to join Burnley on loan initially and eventually permanently, and he has blossomed at Turf Moor.
Having made his debut against Germany last month, Keane is being touted for a big role under Gareth Southgate – and his exploits have now triggered major Premier League interest.
