Manchester United scouted two Espanyol players during the La Liga club’s 1-0 win against Alaves on Saturday, reports Mundo Deportivo.
Manchester United scout Toni Lima, who is a former Espanyol player, was reportedly present at the RCDE Stadium on Saturday to run the rule over midfielder David Lopez and defender Aaron Martin.
Anchorman Lopez, 27, has a €40m (£34m) buyout clause, while teenage full-back Aaron has a €30m (£25m) release clause fee.
Mundo Deportivo don’t think either amount would be a problem for Manchester United. Whilst the Spanish club wouldn’t be thrilled at losing two important players, the chance of getting €70m could be future changing for the club, who have long struggled with finances.
