Arsene Wenger says Arsenal have no received an approach from Marseille for Olivier Giroud and says he wants to keep the striker at the club.
The Gunners manager has been speaking at his pre-match press conference amid rumours the Ligue 1 side are interested in the Frenchman.
“I have had no approach from Marseille and we want to keep Olivier Giroud at the club,” Wenger said.
Giroud signed a long-term contract extension with Arsenal this season, but has only played sparingly as Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck have often been preferred up front by Wenger.
When asked if he was looking at transfer targets for the summer, Wenger said: “Yes, of course. I work until the last day of the season for the present and the future.
“Transfer targets are the future of the club and therefore they are very important. What happens with me is a bit secondary, what is important is the future of the club.”
