The chances of Arsenal‘s Alexis Sanchez moving to the Etihad this summer looks to be increasing, with the Chilean striker understood to be high on Manchester City’s summer transfer list.
According to Sky Sports News HQ Manchester City have grown increasingly interested in the Gunners striker, who has 14 months left on his current deal and has given no indication that he is ready to extend.
Earlier this week, Chilean media reported Sanchez had already decided to move to City and was ‘very close’ to agreeing a deal.
Radio Cooperativa reported that City are prepared to pay a £50m transfer fee, plus wages of around £200,000 a week.
In recent weeks, Sanchez has also been linked with moves to Chelseaand Paris St Germain.
If Sanchez arrives at the Etihad, it would raise question marks over the future of leading scorer Sergio Aguero.
But Guardiola is understood to want to keep the 28-goal Argentinian to play with Sanchez and Brazilian youngster Gabriel Jesus in an all-South American front three – like the Barcelona’s much-vaunted triumvirate of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
