West Brom are interested in signing Sampdoria centre-half Milan Skriniar, according to reports in the Birmingham Mail.
The report suggests Tony Pulis flew out to Italy on Sunday to scout the player in Sampdoria’s 1-0 defeat to Juventus.
Milan Skriniar is a left-sided centre-back who can also play as a defensive midfielder and is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Serie A.
He joined Sampdoria from MSK Zilina just over a year ago and has seven caps for his country.
West Brom, however, are keen to bolster their defence in particular after missing out on targets in January.
Pulis brought in Marc Wilson on loan from Bournemouth after missing out on Jose Fonte and opting against moves for Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho, Nicolas Lombaerts from Zenit St Petersburg and Branislav Ivanovic, who left Chelsea for Zenit.
