UEFA Champions League QF Draw: Leicester City Get Atletico Madrid While Real Madrid Play Bayern Munich

English Premier League Champions Leicester City will meet 2014 and 2016 finalists Atletico Madrid in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League

It’s a rematch from that unforgettable Uefa Cup showdown between Leicester and Atletico Madrid in 1997.

Referee Remi Harrel was escorted off the pitch by security guards after the second leg at Filbert Street after he sent off Garry Parker. Leicester lost 2-0 on the night and 4-1 on aggregate, with Juninho and Christian Vieri bagging the goals for the Spaniards in the first leg, and Kiko joining Juninho on the scoresheet in the return. Ian Marshall got the consolation for Leicester.

In the open draw for the last eight, Monaco must now overcome the challenge posed by Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona have been faced with a quarter final tie against Juventus in a repeat of the 2015 final.

Holders Real Madrid were paired with German champions Bayern Munich in a titanic clash that will see Carlo Ancelotti face off against his former club.

Borussia Dortmund vs Monaco

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid

Juventus vs Barcelona

First leg ties will be played on 11/12 April, with second legs to follow on 18/19 April.
