Spalletti Will Leave Roma If He Doesn’t Win Any Trophies

Luciano Spalletti has stated if he fails to win any trophy for Roma this season, he would have to leave.

Roma are once again in contention to win the scudetto this season since he replaced Rudi Garcia. However, they are eight points behind Juventus after losing to Napoli.

The Europa league and Coppa Italia are also on the cards for Spalletti’s men, they’ll have to overcome Lyon in Europe and overturn a 2-0 deficit to Lazio in the Coppa.

“For a variety of reasons, winning is imperative here,” Spalletti told L’Equipe. “We don’t have the time to think of a gradual progression, everything is accelerated, lived at full-speed.

“So it’s very simple: if I don’t win something, it means I haven’t done any better than my predecessors and, as a result, I’ll have to go home.”
