Jennifer Lopez-led TV crime drama ‘Shades Of Blue’ has been renewed by NBC for a third season
“We’re so hugely appreciative of everything Jennifer and Ray do, and know it is due to their dedication, as well as the hard work of our incredible cast and producers, that ‘Shades of Blue’ has so clearly and compellingly earned a third-season renewal,” NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke says in a statement. “This show continues to mine powerful stories that always leave us hungry for more.”
The show has a strong supporting cast, which includes Ray Liotta, Drea de Matteo and Hampton Fluker.
Hailing from creator Adi Hasak and showrunner Jack Orman, “Shades of Blue” focuses on a single mother (Lopez), who works as a police detective while harboring dark secrets of her own. In addition to starring in it, Lopez is also an executive producer for “Shades of Blue,” which is currently just three episodes into it second season, after premiering earlier this month.
With its renewal, “Shades of Blue” now joins a number of other series already renewed for NBC’s 2017-18 season including “The Good Place,” “Superstore” and freshman hit “This Is Us.”
