Bayer Leverkusen has had a poor run of form and the Bundesliga club has moved to sack manager Roger Schmidt.

Schmidt who has been under fire, was finally sacked after his side lost 6-2 to Dortmund.

Before that, he had managed a 2-0 home loss to Mainz and a 4-2 loss to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Leverkusen look like they might be out of the Champions League and they’re slipping further down the table.

Schmidt’s men are ninth on the table, four points away from European qualification and 11 points away from top four.
