It was too good to be true but after all set and done, the last man standing from Nigeria’s first-ever 24-Hour Party and dance challenge which kicked off from 12:00pm on the 23rd of February and ended at 12:00pm on the 24th of February, 2017, saw Raymond Oluwafemi dance away with a new Hyundai i10 car.

The record-breaking party which was sponsored by Nigeria’s youth friendly telecommunications company, Etisalat was a precursor to the launch of the new EasyCliq proposition which grants customers access to any of the three bonus options: 250% bonus to call all networks, 350% bonus to call only Etisalat numbers, and 100% bonus on data purchase between 50MB-500MB.

In the build up to the launch of the product, various teasers where unleashed which kept the public puzzled about what the #BreakFree campaign was about. From a Flash mob at the Ikeja City Mall and Jabi Lake Mall Abuja, to viral conversations on various social media platforms, the public was left intrigued as to the significance of the #BreakFree messages.

The 24-hour party in Lagos attracted youths from various spheres, dance enthusiasts and several other individuals looking for an opportunity to ‘Turn Up’ at the #BreakFree event and win any of the 72 Innjoo X3 smartphones which were give away every hour to dancers who showed the most skills and most importantly, to win the ultimate prize – a Hyundai i10 car.

After 23 hours with non-stop music provided by eight of Nigeria’s finest DJs including Cool DJ Jimmy Jatt, three dancers were left standing and this set the stage for the race to the final hour. In the 24th hour, Deborah Odemewu emerged the 2nd runner up, while Michael Akindele, was the 1st runner up. Each of them won an Innjoo X3 smartphone, N20,000 cash and N20,000 worth of airtime every month for 1 year.

Raymond Oluwafemi, the winner, took home the grand prize of a car, N20,000 cash as well as an Innjoo X3 smartphone with N20, 000 worth of airtime every month for 1 year.

An elated Raymond said “Though I am a professional dancer, I have never tried dancing for 24 hours, the star prize of a new Hyundai i10 was a good motivation to give it a try. I thank God that I eventually won it. I can’t really express how happy I am.”
