Manchester United reportedly lead the race to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
According to Calciomercato, several clubs are interested in the 18-year-old, and United recently spoken to agent Mino Raiola about him.
It is reported that United want Donnarumma to be “their insurance policy in case David De Gea leaves for Real Madrid”.
An ever-present in the Milan side this season, the goalkeeper has enhanced his growing reputation with a string of fine performances, which has kept the Italian giants in and around the European places in Serie A.
Agent Raiola has been quoted on numerous occasions expressing doubts about AC Milan though, recently saying that he wanted his client to play for a great club, not necessarily a great Milan.
Reports suggest that AC Milan will not accept anything less than £42m for Gianluigi Donnarumma
