Erik Lamela is set to undergo surgery on a long standing hip injury and has subsequently been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The Tottenham winger has been out of action for the past five months and is expected to undertake the surgery on Saturday.
The last time Lamela played was in the 2-1 EFL cup loss to Liverpool back in October and he’ll be out for the last 10 games.
The 25-year-old star has undergone rehabilitation, but is not fit enough for training.
Tottenham are currently second and 10 points behind Chelsea, with a hope to qualify for Europe.
