Harry Redknapp is keen on filling the vacant manager’s position at Middlesbrough, according to the Daily Mail.
The 70–year-old veteran, who has enjoyed a successful managerial career with the likes of West Ham, Portsmouth, Southampton, Tottenham and QPR, is confident he can keep the Teessiders in the Premier League.
A 10-game winless streak in the league has seen Boro drop into the relegation zone, a run which also led to Aitor Karanka’s departure earlier this week.
Owner Steve Gibson wans Steve Agnew, Aitor Karanka’s assistant, to continue until the end of the season and has appointed Joe Jordan as No 2
Harry Redknapp had a short stint in charge of the Jordan national team last year and was also made Derby’s football advisor for Darren Wassell’s spell as interim manager.
