Dinamo Zagreb are targeting a loan move for Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic, the Daily Mail reports today.
He was the first signing Jurgen Klopp made when he joined the club in October 2015, but has failed to make an impact after a string of injuries.
“I wanted to bring Andrija Zivkovic in from Benfica for €5m, but I failed. Now I want to get Marko Grujic from Liverpool on loan,” Zagreb adviser Zdravko Mamic told Serbian outlet Blic.
Marko Grujic has recently made his return from a long-term hamstring problem, and has shone in both of his outings for the Liverpool U23s since.
Grujic played for Liverpool’s Under 23s on Monday night as they beat Chelsea 2-0 at Tranmere’s Prenton Park.
Liverpool were linked with a move for Dinamo youngster Ante Coric last summer, with Klopp keen on him since his days in charge of Dortmund.
Coric has also attracted interest from Manchester City and Chelsea.
