Bassey said goodbye to the #BBNaija House against all odds after spending a considerable amount of time in which he made good impact.
Since he has been going up for Eviction, the wind hasn’t seemed to blow in his direction, even as his Eviction left behind shaken #BBNaija housemates and a particularly trembling Debbie-Rise who couldn’t believe he would leave her behind.
Bassey had initially joined the #BBNaija house as another one of the numerous twist from Big Brother to the House dynamics as a way of unsettling the game.
He alongside Debbie-Rise moved into the House at the same time and their arrival had received a rather cold and indifferent welcome by the #BBNaija Housemates, eliciting a mixture of competition from the guys and attraction from the girls of the House.
As time passed by in the House, Bassey was able to win his place in the hearts of the other #BBNaija housemates, winning the title of Igwe, mastering the Friday Nights Games and displaying a good sense of humour and pleasant personality overall.
Perhaps due to the fact that he and Debbie-Rise entered the game last, the duo seemed to share a special bond of the outcasts which in time gradually moved on to a much deeper and intimate relationship where they leaned on each other for support.
As soon as Bassey was evicted from the House, Host Ebuka welcomed him back on stage and showed him his first clip where he admitted to being attracted to TBoss.
Bassey immediately brushed away any assumptions, stating that he had grown to know TBoss better and turn this attraction to his advantage.
He also admitted that Debbie-Rise was like an egg to him, too precious to break and that beyond the appearances she was no more than a friend to him for he had a girlfriend.
