After the #BBNaija housemates had participated in an intense morning workout sessions and had breakfast, the Housemates sat to their routine game of cards. Soon enough the game got heated up, but they were interrupted with the sound of the doorbell.

As the door opened, the #BBNaija housemates were surprised to see renowned actor, celebrity, politician, and ONE AFRICA ambassador, Desmond Elliot accompanied by ONE AFRICA Director Nachilala Nkombo.

The visitors came bearing gifts and presented them to the #BBNaija housemates. The goody bags contained the individual names of the Housemates branded ONE t-shirts and fact folders with all the information about the One AFRICA campaign.

Soon enough, the Housemates and the visitors all sat in the lounge to elaborate further on the #GirlsCount campaign.

The visit of Desmond Elliot and Nachilala Nkombo coincided with the International Womens’ day and the #BBNaija Housemates took out time to celebrate great women who have impacted their communities and Nigeria as a whole.

The ONE AFRICA Director made it known that about 130 million girls around the world are suffering from deprivation of basic education and other social ailments, and that it was important that the plight of the girl child and women as a whole be emphasized continuously.

Before the visitors rounded up their time in the house, they encouraged the Housemates to celebrate the girl child and women more.

They also gave the #BBNaija Housemates a task of reading through their materials and coming up with a presentation, defending the rights of the girl child as a way of sensitizing the world even more and ultimately alleviate the plights of the girl child and women in general.

The ONE AFRICA ambassadors are expected to return to the #BBNaija house layer in the week to assess and judge the Housemates’ individual presentations.

The winner of the Task will become a ONE AFRICA ambassador immediately and will have the opportunity of presenting their case to world leaders globally.
