Bayern Munich could make a surprise move to end Granit Xhaka’s disappointing spell at Arsenal, according to former Bayern manager Ottmar Hitzfeld.
“Bavaria certainly has Xhaka on the radar. Xhaka is always a topic of conversation for current top clubs and his development is not yet completed,” he told German publication Bild.
Hitzfeld, who also coached Granit Xhaka during his time in charge of the Switzerland national team, says the 24-year-old midfielder has has enough quality to make the grade with the Bundesliga champions.
Xhaka’s first season at Arsenal has been marred by disciplinary issues after picking up two red cards and eight bookings.
