Arsenal have denied reports in Germany they have approached Borussia Dortmund head coach Thomas Tuchel to replace Arsene Wenger.
The claims were made by German newspaper Bild but an Arsenal spokesman has said the report is “not true”.
The club has reiterated a decision on Wenger’s future will be “a mutual decision, which will be communicated in the right way at the right time”.
Wenger, who has managed Arsenal for 21 years, has not yet signed a deal to extend his stay, with his contract expiring in the summer.
Tuchel took over at Dortmund in the summer of 2015, replacing the now Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
Arsene Wenger said after Arsenal lost 3-1 at West Bromwich Albion, their fourth defeat in five league games – that: ‘I know what I will do in my future and will let you know soon. You will see.’
