John Terry has paid former Chelsea defender, Branislav Ivanovic a tribute after the defender joined Zenit.
The Serbia international left Chelsea after he was deemed surplus to requirements with Conte’s move to a three-man defence.
Ivanovic made 376 appearances for Chelsea in his eight years at the club after joining from Lokomotiv Moscow.
And Terry hailed his former team-mate for his influence on the side over his nine years at Stamford Bridge, praising his impact on the field as well as in the dressing room.
“Absolutely gutted to see Brana leave Chelsea,” the Blues captain wrote on Instagram.
“An unbelievable defender for us over the years and a great and big character and presence in the dressing room.
“Good luck mate. Won everything at Chelsea and a proper LEGEND.”
