Chelsea have opened talks with Monaco over £70m-rated playmaker Bernardo Silva, according to the Sunday Times.
The Portugal international, 22, has attracted interest from many of Europe’s top clubs, including Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and Tottenham.
His Monaco side travel to Man City this week in the Champions League.
The midfielder has scored eight goals and registered five in 33 appearances for Monaco so far this term.
Last month, reports claimed that Jose Mourinho was keen on launching a £70m move for Silva.
