This Sunday night’s Live Eviction Show of #BBNaija features top Nigerian music artiste’s and this week’s own will not be any different as singer Simi and dance-hall crooner Timaya will be serenading both viewers and audience in Nigeria and all across Africa.

Singer, songwriter Simi from Surulere, Lagos started out as a Gospel singer with her debut album “Ogaju” before her career came into spotlight in 2014 with the release of the single, “Tiff” before she signed to X3M Music. The following year, she won the “Most Promising Act to Watch” category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

She is a versatile and multi-talented vocalist that can easily switch from Afro Pop to Soul and R&B. Simi’s career has grown in leaps and bounds and in early 2016, she released the hit “Love Don’t Care” a ballad, which received massive acceptance and airplay perhaps due to the fact that the song condemns discrimination of love because of tribal and social prejudices.

Simi was in December 2016, nominated in three categories at The Headies 2016, winning in one category, and also recently nominated in the Best Breakthrough Act category at the 2016 edition of the MTV Africa Music Awards. She also collaborated with Falz to release Chemistry described as an “experiment of the word art”.

Joining Simi on the #BBNaija stage is Nigerian hip hop and dance-hall crooner, Timaya. His solo career began in 2005 with the release of “Dem Mama”, a song that appeared on his debut album, “True Story” released in 2006. His second album Gift and Grace was released in 2008.

Timaya’s third studio album titled “De Rebirth” gained him even more prominence, especially with the success of the song “Plantain Boy”, before going back to his roots and collaborating with his first musical group Dem Mama Soldiers on the album “LLNP (Long Life n Prosperity.) In 2012, Timaya released “Upgrade”, which spawned hits “Bum Bum”, “Sexy Ladies”, and “Malonogede.”

Timaya is known for setting fire to the stage and any party is music is played in. He has collaborated with artists such as 2Face Idibia, K-Solo, Allenian, Konga and Lanre.

With his career going from strength to strength, he is sure to have the fans jumping in their seats at this Sunday’s #BBNaija Live Eviction Show.
