PSG midfielder Marco Verratti should head home to Italy next summer and join Inter Milan, according to his international team-mate Antonio Candreva.
Verratti has been linked with a move away from the French champions, with the 24-year-old midfielder said to interest Juventus, Arsenal and Chelsea.
“What would I say to Verratti? I would tell him to come here, absolutely,” he told Italian media outlet Mediaset Premium. “He is a player from another category with a lot of international experience. It is not just me saying that either – everybody knows it.”
Despite the speculation and Candreva’s wishes, PSG will not be keen to let their star leave Parc de Princes, where Verratti is under contract until 2021.
In the short term, Verratti’s current club are worried he will not be fit to face Barcelona in the Champions League knockout stages.
PSG host the Catalan side on February 14, and are sweating on Verratti who has a calf problem.
