Jurgen Klopp has been talking about Mamadou Sakho’s future after his Deadline Day move to Crystal Palace.
The defender is on loan with Palace until the end of the season, but Klopp has not ruled out a Liverpool return.
Speaking at a news conference on Thursday afternoon, Klopp was asked whether he would offer any guidance to Sakho and replied: “First of all, if I should give some advice to Mamadou Sakho then I should give it to him personally, not via television.”
On whether Sakho had a future at Liverpool, he added: “Who knows what [happens] in half a year? We felt already what changed in one month, so there’s another five to go.
“I think he should concentrate on the job at Crystal Palace, we should concentrate on what we are doing here.
“In this moment, he is on loan and that means he still has a contract at Liverpool. That’s not the thing we talk or think about in this moment, so that’s a good thing.
“That’s a solution for the moment and we can wait for new impressions and then see what happens. That’s nothing I think in this moment about.”
