Crystal Palace and Hull both had Deadline Day offers for former Sunderland midfielder Yann M’Vila, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.

The Frenchman was on loan at the Stadium of Light last season but his current club Rubin Kazan were unwilling to sell with the player reportedly having a £11m release clause in his contract.

Yann M’Vila has been in good form in Russia with Rubin Kazan this term and it was thought he could head back to the Premier League following a spell with Sunderland

M’Vila, 26, played on a regular basis for Sunderland last term in the Premier League.

The midfielder has been a regular for Rubin Kazan in recent months and has made a total of ten appearances across all competitions for the team this term so far.
