Mauricio Pochettino believes it will be quite hard to catch or stop Chelsea, if they claim maximum points from their next two fixtures.
Chelsea will visit Liverpool later today, before playing Arsenal on Saturday. The Blues are currently top and eight points clear.
And Pochettino fears if Conte’s men take maximum points from both matches, the title race could be over.
“This game is a big challenge for us, but with the help of everybody, we can be a real challenger.
“I don’t lose my faith in the players. I see the problems, I know about the problems and I don’t like the problems but I cannot always solve them before we have them.
“It’s about seeing it, working on it and getting better, because you have to use the bad moments to prepare for the good moments.”
“If they win both games it will be difficult to stop them,” said Pochettino.
“We need to be focused on our game. The most important thing is to get the three points for us. And of course we could even be closer to Chelsea then.”
However, the Argentine wants his players to remain focused on their own meetings with Sunderland on Tuesday and Middlesbrough five days later.
Pochettino said: “If we win against Sunderland and Middlesbrough we keep the same gap.
“We need to feel that the three points are important for them but they are for us too. This is a very important game.”
