Pato looks set to leave Villarreal to join Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjin.
Spanish newspaper Marca say the striker had a medical with Fabio Cannavaro’s side on Friday and will move for 18m euros.

In 14 LaLiga appearances, the forward has managed just two goals since signing for the Yellow Submarine in July for around 3 million euros.
He departs the club for an estimated 18m euros to earn around 6m euros per season in Tianjin, agreeing to a three-year deal.
Pato will join Belgian midfielder Axel Witsel, who signed earlier in the transfer window from Zenit St Petersburg, as one of the club’s five permitted foreign players.
The 2017 Chinese Super League season will kick off on March 7, with its transfer window closing on Feb. 28.
