Chelsea have launched a second bid of £4m for Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon, having had an initial offer rejected over the weekend
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers says he wants Craig Gordon to stay and sign a new deal, with the club now preparing a new contract for the keeper that will last until the summer of 2021.
Sources close to Gordon have said he wants his situation resolved before the transfer window closes at midnight tomorrow.
Boss Brendan Rodgers insists Chelsea came nowhere near to Celtic’s valuation with their initial £2.5million bid.
He said: “Chelsea have an interest in him, but for any interest to be activated there has to be a valuation of the player that has to be met.”
