Middlesbrough‘s pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain forward Jese Rodriguez have been fruitless.
The 23-year-old former Real Madrid star has returned to his hometown club Las Palmas on loan until the end of the season
Englsih premier league side Middlesbrough agreed terms with the French champions last week but the player did not want to play in England, insisting that he be allowed to go back to La Liga and play for his hometown side.

PSG hope that back in Spain Jese will start showing the form that made them sign him last summer for £17.9million.
That will then open the door to selling him at the end of the season after he failed to adapt to life in France.
