French side Marseille are in advanced talks to sign Patrice Evra from Juventus.
Patrice Evra is free to leave in January and also has interest from Lyon and Valencia, as well as the Premier League.
Evra played for Manchester United for eight years until 2014, before moving to Serie A with Juventus for a fee of £1.2million.
Crystal Palace had spoken to Evra but both parties were unable to agree on terms or length of contract with Palace reverting to Sunderland’s Patrick van Aanholt.
Sam Allardyce admitted at the weekend he is already pursuing his second-choice list of targets as he awaits a first win as Palace boss.
