An unnamed English club could beat Las Palmas to the signature of unsettled PSG winger Jese Rodriguez, according to the La Liga club’s president Miguel Angel Ramirez.
The Spaniard reportedly wants to move to his hometown club Las Palmas, although Middlesbrough and Liverpool have both been linked with his services in the Spanish press.
When asked about Jese, Ramirez told Marca: “Today [Monday] I have been speaking with his representative and there is an English club that wants to pay all of it.”
Despite Las Palmas’ impressive campaign in La Liga this season, Ramirez believes that the chances of Jese moving to England are substantially higher than returning back to his home league.
The Spaniard was tipped for big things when he broke into the Madrid first-team setup but a serious knee injury hampered his progression in the capital and lead to him being deemed surplus to requirements.
Jese joined PSG from Real Madrid for €25m last August, but has made only one Ligue 1 start all season.
The 23-year-old scored 18 goals in 96 appearances for Real Madrid.
