AC Milan have confirmed Giacomo Bonaventura has extended his contract until June 2020.
AC Milan released a brief statement saying
‘We can announce that Giacomo Bonaventura has renewed his contract with the club until 30th June 2020.’
Bonaventura has signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal to commit his future to San Siro until the end of the 2019-2020 campaign.
Bonaventura has played a key role in Milan’s progress under Vincenzo Montella this season, having only missed two games in all competitions.
The Italy international, who signed from Atalanta for a reported fee of €7million in 2014, has scored four goals and registered six assists in 19 matches this season.
Renewing Giacomo Bonaventura’s contract means two things – Milan have secured his playing abilities for the next three years and could use a possible sale of the player to bankroll the purchase of reinforcements.
