Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to replace Xabi Alonso with PSG star Marco Verratti, reports AS.
Alonso, 35, is out of contract in the summer and Ancelotti believes his Italian compatriot Verratti would be the perfect long-term replacement for the Spaniard.
Ancelotti and Verratti worked together during the Italian coach’s time in charge of PSG and the pair maintain a good relationship.
Le Parisien also report that Bayern Munich will need to bid at least £70 million to tempt PSG into selling their midfielder.
Verratti’s current contract with PSG expires in 2021.
