“With Sebastian Polter, a player returns to Union, which has left a very positive and lasting impression in a relatively short time,” Berlin head coach Helmut Schulte told the club’s official website.
“Of course with his 14 hits in one season, but above all also with his appearance as a professional and his way as a man.
“These qualities are of great value to our team, who want to achieve great goals. We are very pleased to have Sebastian back in our ranks.”
“I am very pleased to be a part of the Union family and Köpenicker again and I will tear myself up to be successful with the team,” Polter said.
Polter has signed a contract with the club until mid-2020, and will join his new teammates for training on Wednesday.
