In the album, she featured 11 African artists from across the continent, with label mates, Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz, topping the list.
Others are Nigeria’s Phyno, Ema Nyra, South Africa’s Donald, Khuli Chana, and Bucie, Ghana’s Sarkodie, Congolese band Airline, Tanzania’s Vanessa Mdee and Kenya’s King Kaka.
A statement issued by Chocolate City, read:
“Safari is Swahili for “Journey” and is the perfect description to sum up Victoria’s Life through travel, things she has learned along the way, inspirations she has carried throughout her life as a child to two Travelling Missionaries into her blooming music career that takes Victoria all around the world and back. In a search for inspiration, success, love and a childlike longing to learn and share, Victoria finally owns her space, sound and brand and sums up who she is in one body of work that truly exudes her and her African story, her sound. Collaborating with friends from all over our beautiful Continent, join Victoria Kimani on Safari (journey).”
