Rumours have been swirling for a few days that Chelsea midfielder Oscar is on the verge of a £52m move to CSL side Shanghai SIPG – and it seems like the deal is nearly there.
Speaking to Brazilian network Globo, Oscar said: “It’s 90% right. It just depends on some bureaucratic details.”
He would be reunited with former Blue boss Andre Villas-Boas with former team-mates Ramires and Demba Ba also playing in China.
Oscar has played 202 games for Chelsea, scoring 38 goals, and has won the Premier League, Europa League and League Cup.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte did not deny Oscar’s claim when asked about the situation following Chelsea’s 1-0 win at Sunderland.
“The situation with Oscar, I think it will be clearer in the next days,” said Conte, who did not name the Brazilian in his 18-man squad for Wednesday’s match.
